Brand Starter Checklist: Done is Better than Perfect

When you’re just getting started it can be tempting to try and do ALL THE THINGS…the website, the logo, the social media…but quickly it gets overwhelming and you’re back to watching cat videos on YouTube.

Fun for a little while, but then your big ideas are still locked in your mind.

To get your head out of the litter box, here’s our Brand Starter Checklist + steps to take + our favorite DO’s and DON’Ts:

CHECKLIST ✓

  • Business Name — if it’s a personal brand, make it your name. If it’s a business, keep it simple, easy to pronounce and easy to spell.

  • Professional Visuals — photos and graphics that show your personality

  • Consistent Messaging — make sure your words, your tone and your message are crystal clear

  • Website — you need your own piece of the internet

  • Business Cards — make ‘em fun and memorable!

  • Marketing/Social Media Strategy — keep it simple! The idea is just to start. If that means one post. That means one post. #justdoit
